Alexis (she/they) is a combat Veteran, a former U.S. Marine, with a heart of gold and a lifelong love affair with theater and film. They were interviewed for Patti Stiles' internationally acclaimed book "Improvise Freely" (2021) and are featured in the book for their insights into the art of improvisational theater.

After completing two tours in Iraq, Alexis moved to Oakland, CA and in 2015 she biked a devised play 4600 miles across the country with Agile Rascal Theatre. Since moving to Minneapolis, MN in 2017, Alexis is a member of Minnesota's internationally acclaimed all-Black comedy troupe, Blackout Improv, and has been asked to perform in festivals around the country and world. In 2018 Alexis produced and directed "The Royal We", an all-women-of-color sketch variety talk show at the Phoenix Theater, and later directed an ensemble for the Tiny Funny Women's Improv Festival at HUGE Theater. In January 2020 Alexis accepted one of her first film roles and subsequently received a Best Actress nomination for her leading work in the short film Bathroom Break, which in February 2022 received distribution by Tello Films.

Over the pandemic, Alexis performed with Colin Mochrie in the Black & Funny Improv Festival/Twin Cities Improv Festival, spoke in weekly panels for Socially Distant Improv's "Anti-Racism for Comedy Folks" series, played with the Black Improv Alliance's International Player's Club, worked with The Theater of Public Policy and Take Action MN, was asked by the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum to creatively record her thoughts for their exhibit on the George Floyd Uprising, and appeared in Pillsbury House Theater's "What to Send Up When It Goes Down". In March 2022 she made a featured guest appearance on the interactive kids television show Noodle Pie Island as cowgirl, 'Alabama Abilene'. Alexis is currently assistant directing at HUGE Improv Theater, where they also regularly perform as cast member of Blackout, Hotpot, Show X, and a variety of ensembles.

Among other goals, Alexis aims to work on The Black Lady Sketch Show and appear in action films and Westerns. As her Grandmother Gloria always instilled, "Good, better, best; never let it rest. Let your good get better, and your better get best."
